Biography

Graduated in Pharmacy (MPharm) in 2013 from the Complutense University of Madrid, Manuel brings over a decade of experience in clinical pharmacology, public health, forensic science, and pharmaceutical quality assurance.

He holds advanced degrees in Public Health (UPF, 2025), Clinical Pharmacology (UAB, 2019), and Pharmaceutical Quality (UB, 2017), complemented by specialized training in health services research. Prior to joining IrsiCaixa, he worked at the Institut Català de la Salut, where he served as the corporate functional lead for a centralized registry monitoring the use of innovative hospital outpatient medicines. He also contributed to forensic investigations at the Forensic Chemistry Laboratory of the Mossos d’Esquadra’s Scientific Police Division. In addition, he has extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing pharmaceutical quality assurance systems.

At IrsiCaixa, Manuel supports the coordination and management of clinical studies, contributing to protocol development, data system design, and regulatory documentation. His work is grounded in a detail-oriented approach, focusing on optimizing clinical operations and ensuring compliance with ethical and scientific standards.

He has authored peer-reviewed publications and presented at international conferences on topics ranging from HIV prevention to chemometric analysis of illicit drugs.
