Joan Pagès, IrsiCaixa researcher, awarded at the Innomed Awards for his innovative bladder cancer project

Premis Innomed

El projecte guardonat s’emmarca en el programa GrowInn, una incubadora d’innovació del Campus Can Ruti que impulsa la transferència de coneixement científic al sistema de salut.

Joan Pagès, a researcher at IrsiCaixa, was one of five winners of the second edition of the Innomed Awards, which recognize innovative biomedical projects developed as part of the GrowInn program. His proposal, focused on developing a urine proteomic kit to predict bladder preservation in patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer, received the Inveniam Award.

These awards are part of the Innomed initiative, coordinated by IGTP and involving seven institutions from the Can Ruti Campus, including IrsiCaixa. The program aims to foster health innovation and facilitate the transfer of scientific knowledge to society by promoting collaboration between institutions, healthcare professionals, and industry.

With over 150 attendees, the event also provided a platform to discuss the key role of public-private collaboration in transforming knowledge into real solutions for the healthcare system.
