Ferran Fontdecaba Cabero

Ferran Fontdecaba began his academic career with a degree in Biology, followed by a Master’s in Molecular Biology. He later joined QIAGEN Barcelona as a laboratory technician, where he spent five years contributing to the development of syndromic tests for gastrointestinal, encephalitis, and respiratory panels. During this time, he developed an interest in data analysis and process automation, which led him to pursue a second Master’s in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics. In parallel, he worked as a statistical programmer at AstraZeneca and as a bioinformatician at IBMB and CNAG. He is currently working as a bioinformatician at IrsiCaixa.
