Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive predoctoral investigator interested on vaccine and antibody development to join our group, IGG, at IrsiCaixa. IrsiCaixa is located at the Biomedical Campus Can Ruti (Barcelona).

The work will be focused on West Nile Virus (WNV) vaccine and antibody development and encompasses a broad range of technical expertise: from protein production and purification to in vivo studies. The research activity implies to work in a BSL-3 environment with infectious WNV and with animal models.

Job duties
  • Activities related to the research project (e.g. protein production and purification, ELISA, Western Blot, Flow cytometry, neutralization assays, among others).
  • Immunogenicity and efficacy studies in animal models.
  • Writing of scientific publications, grants, and scientific reports.
  • Presenting data within and outside the laboratory groups at meetings and symposia.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of experimental work.
  • Maintaining close communication with the PI regarding to project progress.
  • Supervising student at the laboratory.
  • Participating in IrsiCaixa´s formative activities.

  • Candidate must be highly motivated and oriented to perform a scientific career.
