Post-doctoral researcher

Dr Juan Blanco Heredia started his career as a Biology undergraduate student under the supervision of Dr Gustavo Reyes-Teran and Dr Santiago Ávila, at the Centre for Research in Infectious Diseases (CIENI) of the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases (INER) in Mexico City. There, he received his PhD on Biomedical Sciences in August 2016. After his PhD, Dr Blanco Heredia moved to Barcelona to collaborate and be trained on Bioinformatics as a post-doctoral researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) for two years. He then was recruited by Dr De Mattos to be a bioinformatics researcher in IrsiCaixa, where he collaborates in developing immuno-genomic characterization and new therapeutic approaches in cancer.
